Step One

Navigate to the Control Panel

Choose Clock, Language, and Region

Step Three

Click "Change keyboards or other input methods"

Step Four

Choose the Keyboards and Languages tab and then click the "Change keyboards..." button.

Under the General tab click the "Add..." button.

Step Five

Choose Japanese and expand the two options below.

Step Six

Check "Japanese," "Microsoft IME," and "Ink Correction."

Step Seven

Check your settings under the Language Bar and decide what you'd like.

Step Eight

Finally, check your settings un the Advanced Key Settings. You're all set up to type in Japanese on your PC.
